Our Sweet Story
Franklin was love at first sight for our family. We had heard it was a special place, but the moment we arrived, it instantly felt like home. Our journey here took a huge leap of faith - leaving everything familiar, piling into an Airstream with our three young children, and traveling across America before landing right here in Franklin.
And what a place to land. Bike rides and fishing became part of everyday life. A golf cart quickly turned into our main form of transportation. Neighbors became friends who felt more like family. Our kids still wake up starry-eyed, amazed that this is real life, and if we’re honest, we still pinch ourselves, too. It truly feels like a little slice of heaven on earth!
As we settled into Westhaven, we noticed something missing: a sweet shop - a place to gather, connect, and celebrate the everyday moments. With that vision in our hearts (and topped with some really pretty sprinkles), Sweethaven was born in the middle of 2020. We opened our first location not knowing what to expect, but the community showed up in a big way and quickly reminded us just how much Franklin loves super-premium ice cream!
Sweethaven began with just eight flavors - now lovingly known as "The Original 8" - and has since grown to more than 70 flavors, including our rotating daily "Sweet 16" flavors.
In 2022, the Lord answered our prayers with a second Sweethaven location and it was more than we could have asked or imagined right on Franklin’s Historic Main Street!
Today, Sweethaven proudly scoops some of the highest quality ice cream on the market, swirls farm-fresh frozen yogurt, and features a themed sprinkle bar that will have you literally covered for holidays, milestones, and everything in between. We even roll out the fun with The Sweet Cycle, our mobile ice cream cart designed to sweeten your next event!
